About this role

This 2026 University New Hire program prepares early career engineers for midstream operations through training and developmental rotations. Participants learn core midstream processes and contribute to areas such as process design, operations, control systems, environmental, and equipment reliability/maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

Participate in training and developmental programs for midstream engineering fundamentals
Learn midstream operations across crude oil and refined products, natural gas gathering and processing, and NGL transportation and fractionation
Contribute to early career impact areas including process design and operations
Develop through networking with internal and external experts and technical networks
Drive to field sites as necessary; job assignments located in Texas

Technical Overview

The program focuses on midstream process understanding across crude/refined products, natural gas gathering and processing, and NGL transportation and fractionation. Candidates will build capability through structured onboarding (Start Strong), networking (Network to Learn), and applied impact areas such as control systems and process design, with assignments that require driving to field sites in Texas.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a university student graduating in 2026 with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree focus in an engineering discipline such as Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering. They have strong readiness for field work (valid driver’s license and ability/willingness to drive to field sites) and show early interest in midstream processes including crude/refined products, natural gas gathering and processing, and NGL transportation/fractionation.
