About this role
The 2nd Shift Lead is responsible for supervising and executing material handling and inventory control activities while representing leadership on the floor. The role ensures inventory accuracy through cycle counts, ERP transactions, and receiving/shipping operations, and coordinates with project management to expedite customer requests.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direction to others and represent themselves as a leader
- Operate as Manager when Manager is off floor or not in building
- Ensure inventory accuracy by locating product, completing cycle counts, and completing required ERP transactions
- Validate BOM's for accuracy and correct thru the CSF process, manage storage method/location/area
- Inspect inbound/outbound goods and reconcile paperwork discrepancies, prepare shipments for unloading/transit

This role is ERP-focused for operational execution, emphasizing accuracy in picking and bin-to-bin transfers, transaction completion, and inventory reporting via Excel-based reports (including a negative report). The ideal candidate is a 2nd shift operations/warehouse lead with 5+ years of experience in material handling and inventory control. They have proven leadership experience, strong ERP proficiency for picking and bin-to-bin transfers, and hands-on execution of cycle counts, receiving/shipping, and BOM validation through the CSF process.
