About this role
Textron Aviation is hiring an A&P Mechanic for the 7th shift in its Service Center. The role inspects, repairs, and tests aircraft systems to ensure FAA compliance and safe flight readiness.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect & diagnose aircraft systems
- Repair or replace complex components and systems
- Perform functional tests (engine runs, instrument checks, rigging, throttle synchronization)
- Execute modifications and preventive maintenance (FAR 43, 100-hour and annual inspections)
- Prepare accurate logs/inspection reports/parts documentation and ensure FAA compliance
Technical Overview
You will perform detailed inspections and troubleshooting on jet, turboprop, and piston multi-engine aircraft, execute repairs and component replacements, and run functional tests such as engine runs, instrument checks, rigging, and throttle synchronization. The position includes structural modifications and preventive maintenance, with documentation to support FAA-required logs and inspection reports.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a hands-on aircraft maintenance professional with 5+ years of experience maintaining jet, turboprop, and piston multi-engine aircraft. They hold a valid FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) license and have strong working knowledge of FAR 43 inspection procedures, including 100-hour and annual inspections.
