About this role

Kforce is hiring an SDET to strengthen quality engineering capabilities by modernizing test automation practices. The role focuses on building scalable UI and API automation, integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines, and supporting Agile teams with shared quality ownership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Agile feature teams to review user stories and acceptance criteria
  • Design, build, and maintain scalable UI/API test automation frameworks
  • Transition legacy automation (Selenium, Postman/Newman) to CI/CD-aligned solutions
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines for fast feedback
  • Develop automated API tests (REST/SOAP) and end-to-end suites; support manual/exploratory testing as needed

Technical Overview

You will design and maintain test automation frameworks using Playwright and TypeScript (or equivalent), build automated REST/SOAP API tests and end-to-end suites, and transition from legacy Selenium and Postman/Newman approaches. The job also requires SQL-based data validation and integrating automated tests into CI/CD for reliable release validation.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a mid-level SDET with hands-on experience building UI and API test automation using Playwright and TypeScript. They integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines, have strong REST/SOAP API testing skills, and use SQL for data validation and test data management.
