About this role
The Account Manager is responsible for maintaining and retaining existing commercial and industrial waste customers in an assigned territory. The role also focuses on increasing customer penetration by selling the full suite of Republic Services products and handling renewals and cancellation requests.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and retain existing customers through long-term relationships
- Develop knowledge of services, lines of business, pricing, and offers
- Perform contractual re-signs to extend relationships
- Respond to cancellation requests aligned with escalation policy
- Use Salesforce daily to schedule and document activities
Technical Overview
This is a non-technical customer-facing sales role. The key system requirement is daily use of Salesforce for scheduling, documentation, and tracking customer interactions, retention activities, and proposal-related work.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is an entry-level sales professional with at least 1 year of relevant sales experience who can proactively manage and retain commercial and industrial waste customers within an assigned territory.
