About this role
The Account Manager proactively maintains and retains existing customers for permanent commercial and industrial waste services in an assigned territory. The role increases penetration by selling Republic Services’ full suite of products and managing renewals and cancellations.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and retain existing customers through long-term relationships and loyalty
- Develop and maintain knowledge of services, lines of business, pricing structures, and offers
- Perform contractual re-signs on existing customers
- Respond to cancellation requests aligned with the established escalation policy
- Utilize Salesforce on a daily basis to document sales activities
Technical Overview
The core operational tooling is Salesforce, used on a daily basis to schedule and document calls, meetings, and proposals. The role also emphasizes accurate customer communications, pricing initiative support, and weekly retention tracking.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is an entry-level Account Manager with at least 1 year of relevant sales experience who can maintain and grow existing commercial and industrial waste accounts. They use Salesforce daily to document customer activity and support pricing initiatives, while handling renewals and cancellation requests in alignment with the escalation policy.
