Univar Solutions seeks an Account Manager - Oil Sands to manage accounts in the Edmonton area and grow profit through consultative selling. The role emphasizes outside sales execution, effective customer meeting leadership, and coordination with internal operations and purchasing to resolve issues and ensure product availability. Out-of-town travel is expected (4-6 nights per month).
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively plan customer visits 1-2 weeks in advance
- Call on established and prospective customers to sell company products and services
- Grow the industrial footprint within Edmonton and surrounding areas
- Arrange frequent joint calls with Univar and Supplier Technical Service Specialists
- Maintain sampling program and coordinate with Customer Service/Operations and Purchasing to resolve complaints and ensure product availability
