Position Details
About this role
Responsible for day-to-day department accounting tasks in accordance with US GAAP, company policies, internal controls, and applicable regulations. Supports leadership with monthly variance/activity explanations and assists with reconciliations and special projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform day-to-day accounting tasks per US GAAP and internal controls
- Assist leadership with explanations of monthly activity and fluctuations
- Research and resolve reconciling items with exceptions reported to management
- Support compliance with Internal Control over Financial Report (ICFR) and SOX requirements
- Participate in special projects and team building activities
Technical Overview
Works in an accounting environment requiring knowledge of US GAAP, Internal Control over Financial Report (ICFR), and SOX compliance. Uses Oracle (or similar ERP) and intermediate Microsoft Office to perform reconciliations, research, and reporting.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is an entry-level accounting professional with 0-1 years of accounting-related experience and a BA/BS in accounting. They understand US GAAP, can support internal controls including Internal Control over Financial Report (ICFR) and SOX requirements, and have intermediate Microsoft Office skills with experience using Oracle or a similar ERP system.
