About this role

The Accounting Manager supports the Division Controller by owning finance and accounting activities for North America, including monthly and quarterly close, reconciliations, variance analysis, and financial reporting. The role supervises the North American Accounting team and ensures SOX compliance and audit readiness while partnering with manufacturing sites.

Key Responsibilities

Coordinate period-end financial close for North America Compound sites
Prepare and review monthly/quarterly account reconciliations
Maintain internal controls and ensure SOX compliance
Coordinate internal and external audit requests
Supervise the North American Accounting team and drive process improvements

Technical Overview

This is a finance leadership role focused on controllership processes: period-end close, reconciliations, internal controls, and SOX compliance. It also requires ERP experience, with SAP S/4HANA (S4/HANA) strongly preferred, and involvement in IT systems implementation to improve financial accuracy and reporting efficiency.

The ideal candidate is an accounting professional with 8+ years of progressive experience, strong financial close ownership, and a track record of completing month-end and quarterly close on time with accurate reconciliations. They have experience ensuring SOX compliance and internal controls, coordinating audits, and working with ERP systems (S/4HANA preferred).
