About this role
Accounting Manager, AWS Supply Chain Accounting, drives end-to-end accounting and reporting for AWS supply chain partners. The role requires strong analytical capabilities, cross-functional collaboration with finance, tax, trade compliance and IT, and ownership of process improvements to close books accurately and timely each month.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting various aspects of our accounting and reporting process
- End-to-end process ownership to support finance and business partners
- Lead delivery of accounting tasks and projects
- Execute judgments to keep business and accounting projects moving
- Research, conclude and memorialize technical accounting position papers
Technical Overview
Responsibilities include end-to-end accounting ownership, delivering accounting tasks and projects, and developing technical accounting position papers. Requires experience with large-scale data mining and reporting tools and multiple ERP systems (Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards).
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a senior accounting professional with 5+ years of finance and accounting experience, strong GAAP knowledge, and expertise in supply chain accounting within a large tech environment. Proficiency in data mining tools and ERP systems with a track record of building financial models and leading month-end closes is preferred.
