About this role
Contract Accounting Specialist supporting management reporting, forecasting, and project work as the company implements new software applications. The role includes variance analysis, research into accounting guidance changes, and process improvement with strong documentation and controls.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly management reports and research variances
- Participate in monthly forecast activities focusing on balance sheet and cash flow
- Support special projects and accounting guidance change research
- Evaluate information flows and transaction processing; recommend and implement process improvements
- Prepare and/or maintain documentation of processes and procedures
Technical Overview
This position focuses on accounting operations and analytics: monthly reporting and forecasting across balance sheet and cash flow, variance research, and evaluating information flows/transaction processing. It also involves collaboration on accounting system and software application implementations, with PeopleSoft and HFM experience beneficial.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is an accounting professional with 6+ years of relevant experience and a strong understanding of financial statements and accounting systems. They can deliver monthly management reports and forecasts (balance sheet and cash flow), perform variance analysis, and drive process improvements with strong documentation and control effectiveness.
