Xcel Energy is hiring an Advanced Step Apprentice (5th Step or above) / Journeyman Lineman for the Minot Service Center. The role performs Lineman classification duties across overhead and underground distribution and transmission systems while emphasizing safety, customer service, and readiness for after-hours emergency call-outs.

Technical Overview
Responsibilities include overhead and underground electric distribution and electric transmission systems work, including construction, operations, and maintenance. Candidates must meet licensing requirements (Commercial Class A), hold the correct state certificates, and be physically capable of performing all field tasks.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is an experienced Lineman qualified at the 5th Step Apprentice level or higher, with the ability to perform both overhead and underground electric distribution and transmission work. They hold a state issued Journeyman certificate (for Journeyman roles) and a Commercial Class A Driver's License, can pass a company skills assessment, and can participate in after-hours emergency call-outs. They are safety-focused with strong communication and teamwork skills and can live within 20 miles of the Minot Service Center.
