Flatiron School offers an accelerated apprenticeship program for early-career developers to earn income while learning AI and data science. Apprentices complete a part-time Data Science & AI Bootcamp and contribute to software projects with a host employer partner over a 14-month, 40 hours/week program.

The technical focus is on AI and data science concepts, contributing to production-ready software work, and writing clean, maintainable, and testable code using modern frameworks. The apprenticeship includes sprint-based workflows, code reviews, debugging, QA process support, and work involving front-end/back-end web concepts and databases.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is an early-career developer able to commit to 40 hours/week for a 14-month remote apprenticeship. They have programming proficiency in at least one modern language (Python, JavaScript, or Java) and familiarity with front-end/back-end concepts and databases, with a strong learning mindset and comfort collaborating in sprint-based workflows.
