Outside Plant Engineer to support FTTH network planning and design across multiple markets, using GIS and CAD tools to create construction-ready packages and ensure regulatory compliance.

Technical Overview
Proficient in GIS/CAD for FTTH network design, with aerial engineering, pole loading analysis, and permitting experience; familiarity with NESC standards and ROW documentation.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is an experienced OSP fiber engineer with GIS/CAD proficiency and strong NESC/pole-loading expertise, able to design FTTH networks and manage permitting across multiple markets.
Must-Have Skills
3+ years of experience in OSP fiber engineeringFTTH network designor utility telecom engineeringHands-on experience with proficiency in GIS software (ArcGISQGIS) and CAD platforms (AutoCADCivil 3D)Strong competency in aerial engineeringincluding make-ready assessments and NESC complianceExperience with pole loading analysis tools (O-Calc ProSpidaCalcKatapultor similar)Knowledge of FTTH architecturesfiber construction methodsand typical OSP materialsUnderstanding of permitting requirements (DOTrailroadpole attachmentmunicipal)Ability to interpret ROW platsutility mapsconstruction drawingsand survey dataStrong attention to detailorganizational skillsand ability to manage multiple tasks in parallelExcellent written and verbal communication skills
