About this role
Lead AI/ML platform architecture for a major federal modernization program, owning end-to-end AI capabilities and governance. Direct multiagent orchestration, LLM configuration, and RAG/highly regulated AI workflows with government stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the single point of architectural authority for all AI/ML capabilities on the program, owning the AI platform architecture end-to-end
- Design, define, and govern the AI/ML platform including standards, patterns, and guardrails
- Lead multiagent orchestration architecture including agent roles and inter-agent communication
- Define dual LLM configuration strategies for performance, cost, risk, and explainability
- Define the RAG architecture including data sourcing, indexing, grounding controls, and traceability
Technical Overview
Design and govern AI architectures with LLMs, RAG, GeoAI, and GIS integration on Azure OpenAI; implement prompt injection mitigation and AI security controls; align with federal oversight and records retention requirements.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a senior AI/ML architect with 10+ years of experience building production AI platforms in regulated environments. They excel in multiagent orchestration, LLM configurations, RAG architectures, and GeoAI integration, with strong executive communication and governance capabilities.
