About this role

AI Scientist Intern to drive research and development for multimodal AI models, design and deploy proofs-of-concept, and collaborate to integrate models into existing workflows at KLA.

Key Responsibilities

Research emerging AI technologies focused on multimodal models and AI databases
Design, develop, and deploy proof of concepts from research
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate models into our existing systems and workflow
Participate in AI research and systems architecture discussions and code reviews
Conduct data engineering and analysis to improve model accuracy and efficiency

Technical Overview

Focus on ML/AI technologies including NLP, multimodal models, LLM deployment (cloud/on-prem), CI/CD pipelines, and cross-functional integration in a manufacturing tech context.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a master's student or beyond with hands-on ML/NLP experience, strong Python, TensorFlow, and PyTorch skills, and the ability to deploy ML models in cloud or on-prem environments, ready to contribute to R&D in a manufacturing setting.
