About this role

Leidos seeks a mid-level AI Software Developer to contribute to the Air Traffic automation program (L-CAP) in a hybrid cloud environment. The role centers on building microservices-based software with AI-enabled capabilities and working in a SAFe/Agile setting for government programs.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain microservices-based applications using modern software engineering practices
Collaborate with product owners, architects, and engineers in an Agile / SAFe environment
Participate in sprint planning, daily standups, reviews, and retrospectives
Translate requirements into working software solutions
Integrate services with databases, messaging systems, and external APIs

Technical Overview

Hands-on work with Java, Python, or C++, Linux, microservices, APIs, distributed systems, CI/CD, DevSecOps, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP). Experience with Kafka and NoSQL/SQL databases is valued.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a mid-level AI software developer with 2+ years of experience, strong microservices and cloud experience, and proficiency in Java or Python. They should thrive in an Agile/SAFe environment and contribute to AI-enabled data-driven systems with DevSecOps practices.
