About this role
Air Operations Controller monitors aircraft and package movements, manages 24/7 operations, analyzes weather impacts, and coordinates with carriers and internal teams to ensure safe, compliant, and on-time performance across the Amazon Air network.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively monitor all aircraft movement activity to identify, address, and prevent potential issues
- Monitor all inbound/outbound customer package movements and escalate issues as required to protect the flight schedule
- Develop and execute effective service recovery plans as necessary
- Liaise with AIR's air carriers, ground handlers, and other service providers to help facilitate on-time operations
- Continually assess and communicate the operational status of all assigned flights and/or gateways
Technical Overview
Operational focus with meteorological forecasting, capacity management, and integration of data tools (MS Access, SQL) within a logistics/supply chain context.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a mid-level program/logistics professional with 2+ years PM and 1+ year in supply chain, plus 3+ years in aviation/logistics-related operations; capable of handling 24/7 operations, weather impacts, and capacity management.
