About this role
Prepare and paint aircraft parts using spray and dip painting processes according to detailed specifications. Inspect parts before baking to ensure paintwork is free of contamination.
Key Responsibilities
- Check parts are clean and undamaged before sanding
- Hand-sand, mask, and prime surfaces
- Select and adjust spray gun and mix paint per specifications
- Apply spray paint or dip paint to coat crevices
- Inspect for dirt/dust/foreign objects before baking in oven
Technical Overview
Hands-on manufacturing painting role involving hand-sanding, masking, priming, spray gun setup, paint mixing, coating application (including dip paint), inspection, and oven baking. Paint knowledge may include polyurethane and Hexamine chromium.
