About this role
Support the Americas ex-US Economics teams in analyzing, forecasting, and communicating house views. Work with large datasets, run macro models, assist senior economists on research projects, maintain databases, compile daily/weekly reports, and prepare daily briefings on relevant economic news.
Key Responsibilities
- Write regular reports on economic events and their market implications
- Prepare daily briefings based on relevant economic news
- Partner with Senior Analysts to produce thematic research
- Create and update presentation materials for client meetings and events
- Respond to questions/requests from internal stakeholders and external clients
Technical Overview
Engage in macro modeling and econometrics, manage databases, forecast macro variables (GDP, inflation), and present research materials using MS Excel. Ability to communicate complex topics in Spanish is required.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a mid-entry level economics research analyst with strong econometrics and data analysis skills, 1-2 years of experience, proficient in MS Excel, and capable of communicating complex macro topics in Spanish (C1+). They will support the Americas ex-US economics team, forecast macro variables, and prepare daily briefings.
