The Analyst HAZMAT ensures JetBlue meets dangerous goods (DG) and hazardous materials (HAZMAT) requirements for shipping, storage, documentation, and waste management. The role monitors performance across Technical Operations stations, updates TRAX/3E records, and reports out to senior leadership while maintaining safety and security compliance.

  • Implement accepted processes for shipping and storage of DG/HAZMAT parts and materials in Technical Operations
  • Monitor performance of Tech Ops stations and guide shippers
  • Update Part Master in TRAX for hazardous materials
  • Ensure Safety Data Sheets are up to date in TRAX and 3E online website
  • Monitor Dangerous Goods and Chemical Spill Reports and update Monthly Report to Senior Vice President

This role centers on DG/HAZMAT operational compliance using IATA and CFR (Code of Federal Regulations) guidance. It requires working knowledge of air and ground transport shipping, maintaining Safety Data Sheets in TRAX and 3E online website, and updating part master and inventory hazmat status via Configuration Control.

The ideal candidate is an entry-level hazmat/dangerous goods analyst with at least one year of warehouse or shipping analyst experience, including DG/HAZMAT exposure. They are comfortable working with IATA and CFR requirements, maintaining Safety Data Sheets and TRAX (including part master updates), and producing reports for senior leadership and regulatory authorities. They also successfully complete JetBlue University Hazmat Awareness Training and Hazmat Shipping Courses and can maintain a valid Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) Badge.
