Analyst II in the Chemistry Laboratory performing routine and moderately complex sample analysis, preparation, extraction, and digestion using instrumentation (including gas chromatography (GC) and High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC)). The role involves generating client testing reports, maintaining and calibrating lab instruments, developing/validating methods and SOPs, and supporting investigations and technical inquiries as needed.

  • Conduct routine and moderate complexity analytical studies using official methods and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Prepare, extract, and digest samples with and without instrumentation
  • Perform report generation for client sample tests, correlation tests, calibration, and validation
  • Operate, maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot laboratory instruments/equipment
  • Develop and validate analytical methods and SOPs, and maintain a Laboratory Notebook

Hands-on analytical chemistry work following official methods and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Conducts analyses including GC and HPLC, performs calibration and validation, maintains and troubleshoots laboratory instruments, and contributes to method development and SOP updates while documenting work in the Laboratory Notebook.

The ideal candidate is an Analyst II with at least 2+ years of laboratory experience in gas chromatography (GC) and High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC). They can perform routine and moderately complex chemical analyses with instrumentation, follow official methods and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and produce calibrated, validated results with clear documentation (including a Laboratory Notebook).
