Application Security Analyst- Remote (Anywhere in the U.S.)

GuidePoint Security is seeking an Application Security Analyst to support delivery of application security services for clients. The role includes helping conduct assessments, threat modeling, and source code/application architecture reviews, then producing detailed reports and remediation strategies.

• Assist with delivery of Application Security services including Application Security Assessments, Threat Modeling, and Source Code Reviews
• Author assessment deliverables tailored to technical and managerial audiences including core deficiencies and remediation strategies
• Contribute to Application Security research projects
• Support marketing initiatives such as speaking at industry conferences and authoring blog articles and whitepapers
• Utilize automation (and related orchestration) to support security engagements

Technical scope centers on Application Security Assessments for web, mobile, IoT, and thick client applications, along with Threat Modeling, Source Code Reviews, Application Architecture Reviews, and Secure SDLC Implementation. The analyst also supports automation efforts and contributes to application security research and security tool initiatives.

The ideal candidate is an application security professional who has supported or delivered Application Security Assessments and can perform Threat Modeling and Source Code Reviews. They produce detailed assessment deliverables and remediation strategies for both technical and managerial audiences, with strong communication skills for client reporting and thought leadership.
