Applied Science Manager , Stores Foundation AI (SFAI)

Applied Science Manager leading Stores Foundation AI efforts focused on LLM/VLM post-training and alignment to improve shopping experiences. You’ll collaborate with scientists, engineers, and TPMs to deploy AI at scale.

• Manage a team of scientists and ML engineers
• Oversee post-training alignment of LLMs and VLMs
• Collaborate with scientists, engineers, and TPMs
• Drive AI innovations for customer experiences
• Define and execute research/production roadmap for SFAI

Role centers on LLM/VLM development, post-training alignment, and applying AI to retail context. Involves managing teams, communicating with stakeholders, and delivering customer-facing AI capabilities.

The ideal candidate is an experienced AI/ML leader with 3+ years managing scientists/engineers, deep knowledge of ML/NLP/IR/Analytics, and a track record of applying large language and vision-language models to retail. They should be comfortable coordinating across scientists, engineers, and TPMs to deliver customer-facing AI capabilities at scale.
