About this role

This apprenticeship role supports experienced installers with residential electrical installation and service work. You will assist with equipment installation, wiring, and troubleshooting while following established procedures and maintaining job-related inventory and documentation.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in installing generator, electrical service upgrades, electrical panel replacements, and wiring in residential applications
Assist in diagnosing and troubleshooting electrical problems with generators, electrical service panels and residential wiring
Perform various specific job duties as assigned by Sr. Journeyman and Department Manager
Maintain company stock and equipment
Perform clerical duties necessary to complete requests for service

Technical Overview

The work centers on residential electrical applications including generator installation, electrical service upgrades, electrical panel replacements, and residential wiring. It also includes diagnosing and troubleshooting electrical problems related to generators, electrical service panels, and residential wiring under supervision.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is an apprentice electrician with a valid State Apprentice License and basic electrical and mechanical skills. They can assist with residential electrical installations (generators, service upgrades, panel replacements, and wiring) and support troubleshooting of electrical problems under supervision.
