About this role
Data governance architect to define governance strategies for clients, architect data platforms, and guide delivery teams in cloud migration projects; partner with sales to shape proposals and showcase governance expertise.
Key Responsibilities
- Data and AI Governance Strategy: Formulating data and AI governance strategies aligned with business objectives and industry best practices
- Create, socialize, and implement data governance policies, procedures, and frameworks for clients while ensuring compliance
- Lead the successful migration of complex data architecture from on-premises to cloud environments
- Mentor engineers, review architectures and code, and guide teams through implementation
- Lead technical discovery, shape solution architectures, respond to RFPs, and deliver demos and proofs of concept for data engineering engagements
Technical Overview
Technical scope includes governance frameworks, Databricks/Spark, and tools like Unity Catalog/Atlan/Anomalo; requires client-facing presales, RFP responses, and demos.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a senior data governance architect with 5+ years in governance, expert Databricks and Spark knowledge, and certification in Unity Catalog/Atlan/Anomalo. Proven client-facing success and ability to shape governance strategy for enterprise clients in a consulting environment are essential.
