About this role
Lead an hourly workforce as an Area Manager to ensure safety, quality, productivity, and reliable customer delivery. Coordinate across key support functions and help drive operational excellence across first mile, middle mile, and last mile workflows.
Key Responsibilities
- Support, mentor, and motivate hourly workforce
- Manage safety, quality, productivity, and customer delivery promises
- Collaborate with Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, Quality Assurance, and Human Resources
- Maintain operational execution across first mile, middle mile, last mile workflows
- Perform physical requirements including lifting up to 49 pounds and long standing/walking shifts
Technical Overview
Non-technical operations leadership role focused on managing warehouse and delivery station execution. Emphasizes safety/quality/productivity management, workforce engagement during shifts, and collaboration with operations support teams; includes optional process improvement exposure to Lean Six Sigma and/or Kaizen.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a mid-level Area Manager with at least 2+ years of employee and performance management experience who can lead hourly teams and consistently deliver safety, quality, productivity, and on-time customer outcomes. They are comfortable with the physical demands of warehouse/delivery station work and collaborate with Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, Quality Assurance, and Human Resources.
