Area Manager II leads a team of hourly employees, driving safety, quality, productivity, and delivery standards; collaborates with Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, Quality Assurance, and HR to meet business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Support, mentor, and motivate hourly workforce
- Manage safety, quality, productivity, and delivery promises
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet objectives
- Lead productivity plans through forecast reviews and staffing adjustments
- Ensure adherence to safety policies and operational standards
Technical Overview
Strong analytics and data-driven planning with experience in Lean/Six Sigma and data mining tools (SQL, Tableau, Cognos) across a large operations network.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a senior-area manager with at least 2 years of team leadership experience, strong Lean/process improvement background, and proven ability to manage a 20+ person team in a fast-paced logistics environment.
