About this role
This role combines personal mortgage production with leadership over a team of Mortgage Loan Originators (MLOs). You will be accountable for end-to-end loan ownership from application to closing, coach the team, manage production using reporting and KPIs, and ensure compliance and customer service standards using Gallup customer engagement data.
Key Responsibilities
- Assume overall responsibility from application to closing on personal production
- Manage a team of at least 5 MLOs with day-to-day leadership
- Hold business plan reviews and build strategic and tactical plans for volume growth
- Ensure MLOs provide high level customer service based on Gallup customer engagement data
- Monitor compliance issues and ensure loan originators adhere to standards and required meetings
Technical Overview
The technical scope is operational and governance-focused within mortgage lending: managing residential loan origination workflows, monitoring compliance with state and federal regulation and bank policies, and tracking loan originator quality. Performance management is supported through local and Bancorp reporting with KPIs and business plan reviews.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a mortgage sales manager with hands-on residential mortgage loan origination experience, including end-to-end ownership from application to closing. They have demonstrated leadership managing a team of at least 5 Mortgage Loan Originators (MLOs), with strong compliance monitoring, loan quality accountability, and customer experience focus using Gallup customer engagement data.
