Key Responsibilities

Perform initial clinical assessments to determine level of care
Coordinate and disposition of all referral calls to appropriate level of care
Complete admissions with psychiatrists and nursing staff
Complete pre-certification information and forward to appropriate agencies
Maintain communication with referral sources, families, patients and unit staff

Technical Overview

Clinical screening and intake workflow in a psychiatric hospital environment; requires crisis intervention training and AMSR/ CPR certifications; liaison with psychiatrists, nursing staff, and families.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a licensed clinical professional with a Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, or Human Services and at least 3 years of mental health crisis/intake experience. They should be proficient in telephonic, telehealth, and in-person risk assessments, with strong communication and admission coordination skills.
