About this role
This role supports USCENTCOM J6 as an Asset/Logistics Analyst focused on government property administration, inventory control, and warehousing activities. The position includes receiving, storing, issuing, and tracking equipment/materials, as well as preparing audit-ready reports and coordinating shipping/receipts with partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform government property administration and accounting duties
- Manage receipt, storage, issuance, and distribution of materials and equipment
- Prepare government-required reports and represent the program during audits
- Coordinate shipping and receipt of equipment with subcontractors and vendors
- Conduct annual inventory procedures and audits to ensure 100% accountability
Technical Overview
The technical scope is logistics operations rather than software engineering: property accountability, labeling/tracking with database updates, annual inventory audits, and coordination with the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) for reutilization of disposed equipment. It also includes maintaining separation/accountability for a Bill-of-Materials (BOM) tied to CCJ6 Directorate projects.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience in asset and logistics operations, including inventory management, warehousing, and government property administration. They are detail-oriented and experienced with annual inventory audits, shipping/receiving coordination, and maintaining accurate labeling and database records with the required Secret clearance and US citizenship.
