Senior CNC machinist role at GE Aerospace facility in Pune, responsible for full CNC setups, NPI support, GD&T interpretation, tool and fixture optimization, and data-driven problem solving to improve cycle time and quality.

Key Responsibilities

Read and interpret complex part drawings and GD&T requirements
Set up and operate GROB/DMG/MAZAK machines (TMC/VMC/HMC/5-axis)
Perform full part setups including zero setting, work coordinate setting, trial cuts, and first-piece approval
Conduct regular tool trials and process trials to optimize cycle time, tool life, and surface finish
Drive Root Cause Analysis and corrective actions using QC tools (5 Why, Fishbone, Pareto) and maintain safety/EHS compliance

Technical Overview

Hands-on with multi-axis CNC machines (GROB/DMG/MAZAK) and Siemens/Mazatrol/Fanuc controls; strong GD&T interpretation, CMM data usage, and tool/fixture setup; conducts tool trials and process optimization with root cause analysis.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a senior CNC machinist with 6-8 years of hands-on experience on GROB/DMG/MAZAK machines, able to run full setups and support NPI proveouts, with strong GD&T interpretation and CMM-driven problem solving.
