Assistant General Counsel, Head of Privacy, Data & AI

S&P Global seeks an Assistant General Counsel and Head of Privacy, Data & AI to provide strategic privacy, data protection, and AI regulatory guidance. The leader will develop privacy governance strategy, advise product and engineering teams, and support incident response efforts involving potential cyber & data incidents.

• Act as subject matter expert on privacy and data protection and provide practical legal advice
• Drive and evolve global privacy strategy and governance framework
• Monitor emerging privacy, cybersecurity, and AI regulations and advise on business impact and readiness
• Advise product/engineering/business teams on privacy implications (data minimization, transparency, consent, data subject rights, AI requirements, third-party integrations)
• Support incident response efforts by advising investigations involving potential cyber & data incidents, including breach notification

This role focuses on legal governance and risk management for privacy, data protection, and AI-related requirements across products, services, and internal operations. It includes advising on privacy implications of data uses and supporting investigations and breach notification processes when incidents occur.

The ideal candidate is an experienced privacy and data protection attorney who has served in senior legal advisory roles and can lead global privacy, data, and AI regulatory strategy. They bring deep knowledge of global privacy laws and strong judgment, translating complex requirements into scalable solutions while advising on privacy implications and breach notification/investigation support.
