D.R. Horton is seeking an Assistant Operations Manager to support the Operations Manager or Division Vice President of Operations in running day-to-day business operations. The role focuses on enforcing financial, service, and quality policies; reviewing operational performance; and implementing corrective actions to meet division goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in implementation of business plans and operational requirements (labor, production, business development)
- Enforce financial management, service strategy, and quality operating methods
- Review division operations/performance and take corrective action to achieve goals
- Focus daily on processes and procedures to maximize resources and meet objectives
- Establish production and quality control standards, budgets, and cost controls
Technical Overview
This is a non-technology operations leadership role centered on production management, quality control standards, budgeting/cost controls, and operational reporting. The candidate will supervise employees and contribute to product strategy and development for new and emerging products.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is an operations-focused leader with experience supporting an Operations Manager or Division Vice President of Operations in construction or homebuilding operations. They can drive quality, budget/cost controls, and process improvements, while supervising multiple employees and responding to operational issues with corrective action.
