The Associate Director, Primary Market Research (Hybrid) leads primary market research projects for an anti-viral influenza franchise, supporting both pre- and post-launch commercialization decisions. The role drives strategic input to global teams through primary research and secondary data analysis and recommends actionable business solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and oversee execution of an assigned portion of the global market research plan,
- Lead strategic and primary market research projects (business questions, information needs, research/analysis plans),
- Manage the market research process to deliver objective understanding of customers, competitors, and market developments,
- Provide strategic input to the extended global team via primary market research and secondary data analysis,
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders (pricing and access, sales, promotion, marketing, Research Laboratories) to recommend actionable solutions
Technical Overview
This is an analytics-heavy market research role focused on digital listening and patient analytics, translating primary market research and secondary data analysis into customer, competitor, and market development insights for MK-1406 (influenza) and future assets. The scope includes owning research processes, managing plans, and partnering with cross-functional stakeholders (pricing/access, sales, promotion, marketing, and Research Laboratories).
