About this role
This entry-level role supports Southwest's Network Planning team by analyzing flight schedule performance and capacity. The associate will learn KPI-based analysis, explain trends and variances, and help inform operational and financial decisions using simulation and forecasting.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze performance and flight schedule data using key performance indicators
- Explain trends and variances to support operational and financial decisionmaking
- Use simulation and forecasting to evaluate schedule and operational efficiencies
- Gather data to communicate business insights and realistic solutions
- Partner with commercial teams and airport stakeholders to influence network decisions
Technical Overview
Performs schedule and network planning analytics using performance and flight schedule analysis, KPI review, and constraint impact assessment. Uses simulation and forecasting with data querying/reporting tools to produce recommendations for network decisions.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is an entry-level analyst with strong analytical ability and basic software/data skills, including familiarity with data querying and reporting tools. They are comfortable analyzing flight schedule and performance data, interpreting trends and variances, and using simulation and forecasting to support network planning decisions with clear communication to stakeholders.
