Boeing is hiring Platform Software Engineers (Associate and Experienced) to support a defense/aerospace program by integrating software into a consistent DevSecOps framework. The role focuses on automation, build/test/integration toolchain improvements, and cross-functional engineering problem solving.

Key Responsibilities

Develops and maintains code and integrates software components into a fully functional software system
Streamline tools for software build, test, integration, automation to reduce waste and inefficiency
Work with product teams to identify DevSecOps tooling requirements
Analyze safety-critical software to ensure compliance and programmatic benchmarks are met
Execute and document software research and development projects

Technical Overview

You will implement and integrate software components while working within Agile teams using Jira, leveraging DevSecOps tooling such as Kubernetes, AWS/Azure cloud services, GitLab CI, static code analysis, and Terraform. The scope includes analyzing safety-critical software and supporting compliance and benchmarks.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is an associate or experienced platform software engineer with 2+ years of hands-on programming experience in C/C++/C#/Python/Java/Ada. They have worked on Agile teams using Jira and have practical DevSecOps experience involving Kubernetes, cloud services, GitLab CI, and Terraform—ideally supporting safety-critical defense/aerospace systems.

Must-Have Skills

Bachelor's DegreeAbility to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.
