About this role

Performs switching and outage dispatching to ensure safe work completion and communicates outage status to management and call centers.

Key Responsibilities

Dispatches trouble orders and communicates switching needed to resolve outages
Issues hot line tags/clearance and coordinates switching steps
Estimates crew arrival times and updates management on outages
Investigates customer issues and troubleshoots outage causes
Performs other duties as requested or assigned

Technical Overview

Performs outage dispatching with OMS/SCADA/GIS experience and uses field tools (CSR Desktop, NXT Communicator, CADS, Web Portal) to coordinate crews.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is an entry-level distribution operator with 0-2 years of utility ops experience, ready to complete DESC dispatcher training, and proficient with OMS, SCADA, GIS and field tools to dispatch outages effectively.
