About this role
Engineering role providing substation maintenance support and project engineering for electric distribution facilities; includes testing, commissioning, and minor design changes.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, design, cost estimate, budget and manage projects related to electric distribution facilities
- Provide engineering assistance and technical support to field engineering representatives and other Region personnel
- Perform power quality/troubleshooting analysis for customers' facilities
- Meet with residential and commercial customers, architects, contractors, and other appropriate contacts
- Prepare load analysis for electric distribution substations and feeders and develop remediation plans
Technical Overview
Plan and analyze distribution circuits 15kV and below; perform project engineering and cost estimates; support field personnel and ensure safe, reliable operation; familiarity with Windows-based tools.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a mid-level electrical engineer with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering, 2+ years in utility/substation experience, and familiarity with substation equipment and maintenance processes.
