Associate General Counsel - ComEd (Hybrid)

This role is for an Associate General Counsel responsible for legal services focused on regulatory litigation and administrative law for Commonwealth Edison (ComEd) in Illinois. The attorney leads a group of attorneys and paralegals, manages outside counsel and matters, and supports continuous improvement of legal service delivery.

• Advises clients on all aspects of regulatory litigation
• Represents ComEd and Exelon with outside counsel, government agencies, and experts
• Leads and manages attorneys and paralegals including evaluation and career development
• Prepares budgets and early matter assessments for outside counsel matters
• Improves delivery of legal services for Illinois regulatory litigation

This is a legal leadership role focused on regulatory litigation and administrative law for an electric utility. The scope includes advising executives, managing attorney/paralegal staff, overseeing budgets and matter assessments, and representing the company in interactions with courts, agencies, and outside experts.

The ideal candidate is a senior management-level attorney with strong experience in regulatory litigation and administrative law, specifically tied to electric utility regulation in Illinois. They have led teams of attorneys and paralegals, managed outside counsel, and delivered high-quality legal services while owning budgets and early matter assessments.
