About this role

Boeing seeks an Associate Programmer Analyst to support the Wire Information and Release System (WIRS) within the Electrical Engineering systems ecosystem. The role performs production support, builds and tests computing applications, and documents designs and implementations.

Key Responsibilities

Perform production support and operational analysis of online and batch systems
Design, program, test, implement, and document computing applications and software
Write and compile code based on documented design and application architecture
Modify or upgrade applications to maintain functionality and performance
Perform data exploration and repair using custom extracts and data-level investigation

Technical Overview

You will write, compile, and modify application code integrating software and delivery subsystems, while performing operational analysis for online and batch systems. Work includes relational database skills (SQL-Server, Oracle, Teradata), configuration control with GIT/Visual Source Safe/Clear Case, and data exploration and repair via custom extracts and data-level investigation. Preferred enhancements include familiarity with DevOps/DevSecOps and CI/CD practices and cloud exposure.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is an entry-level software developer/analyst with 1+ years of programming experience in Java, C++, and C#. They have hands-on experience with relational databases (SQL-Server, Oracle, Teradata), configuration control tools (GIT, Visual Source Safe, Clear Case), and working across Windows and Linux (Oracle 8+ and Red Hat 7+). They can perform production support and data-level troubleshooting, documenting designs, tests, and implementations for WIRS-related applications.
