AbbVie is hiring an Associate Technical Operations Engineer to perform engineering work within a specific technical discipline, with a strong emphasis on Quality compliance and Environment, Health, and Safety (EH&S) standards. The role supports small-sized projects, prototype/experimental runs, design solution updates, and stakeholder communication.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with applicable Quality regulations/standards, Environment, Health, and Safety (EH&S) Global Policies, and AbbVie Engineering Standards
- Define project scope with stakeholders and plan/execute assigned tasks to meet cost, quality, and time expectations
- Plan and conduct small-sized engineering projects including investigations and equipment-related activities
- Coordinate prototype or experimental runs and analyze test data to prepare recommendations
- Interpret problems and create or modify design solutions; communicate outcomes via reports and presentations
Technical Overview
This position focuses on executing conventional engineering plans and investigations, coordinating prototype or experimental runs, and producing test data, preliminary analysis, reports, and recommendations. The engineer will interpret problems and modify design solutions using standard engineering principles and methodologies while staying compliant with AbbVie Engineering Standards and EH&S Global Policies.

The ideal candidate is an early-career engineering professional who can support Quality compliance and Environment, Health, and Safety (EH&S) standards while planning and executing small-sized technical projects. They are able to translate goals into tasks, run prototype/experimental tests with data gathering and preliminary analysis, and create or modify design solutions using standard engineering principles and methodologies. They communicate effectively with stakeholders, contractors, and vendors and help train personnel for facility and equipment operations.
