About this role
This role supports the Store Manager by supervising store operations, employees, and merchandise presentation. The Assistant Store Manager also performs cashiering and stocking duties while completing paperwork and handling deposits to protect company assets and maximize profitability.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide superior customer service leadership and operate cash register and scanner
- Open and close the store at least two days per week
- Assist with scheduling, training, and safety meetings
- Manage merchandise processes including receiving, stocking, restocking, rotating, and displays
- Maintain financial integrity via cashier accountability, key control, refunds/overrides, till counts, and bank deposits
Technical Overview
The job involves operational retail systems and processes such as operating a cash register and scanner, executing planograms, managing inventory accuracy through scanning/paperwork and controls, and enforcing cash and key security procedures including tills and deposits.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is an experienced retail assistant store manager who can lead a customer-first store environment while managing day-to-day operations. They are comfortable with cashier accountability, inventory accuracy, planogram execution, and scheduling/training employees, including opening and closing duties.
