About this role

ADESA (a Carvana owned company) is looking for a Mechanic Tech to support a high production mechanic shop by completing assigned diagnostic repair and maintenance on customer vehicles. The role covers multiple systems including A/C & heater, brakes, electrical charging systems, cooling systems, starting/cranking, and lighting.

Key Responsibilities

Perform assigned diagnostic repair or maintenance on customer vehicles
Conduct A/C and Heater system checks and identify Freon and oil leaks
Inspect and test brake systems, measure components, and perform road tests
Diagnose electrical charging systems including battery and alternator checks
Read wiring schematics and repair starting/cranking and lighting system issues

Technical Overview

You will perform standardized diagnostic and maintenance tasks across vehicle subsystems: HVAC checks (power to compressor, condenser inspection), brake inspection/testing (road tests, fluid checks, component measurement), charging system checks (battery, alternator, belts), cooling service (pressure test, flush/refill), and electrical work including reading wiring schematics.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a mechanic tech who can support a high production mechanic shop by performing assigned diagnostic repair and maintenance on customer vehicles. They have practical experience with A/C and heater checks, brake inspection and testing, electrical charging system diagnostics, and basic cooling and starting system service, including reading wiring schematics.
