About this role
Carvana is hiring an Automotive Airbrush Technician (2nd Shift) to color-match, mix paint, and airbrush vehicles in high-tech inspection centers. The role focuses on preparing and finishing cars to meet quality standards, with entry-level training available.
Key Responsibilities
- Color-match and mix paint for vehicles
- Airbrush vehicles to finish specifications
- Perform sanding, masking, taping, bagging, and unbagging/tear down as needed
- Buff and complete touch-up and paint correction tasks
- Support vehicle readiness in inspection/paint processes
Technical Overview
Hands-on automotive paint execution using airbrush techniques, including paint mixing, color matching, and finishing workflows. May include work in paint booths and application fundamentals such as priming, sanding, buffing, touch-up, and layered coatings (base/tri/clear).
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of professional automotive painting experience and can confidently color-match, mix paint, and airbrush vehicles. They are detail-oriented and able to complete prep and finishing steps such as sanding, masking, and buffing to meet quality expectations.
