About this role
Carvana is hiring automotive mechanics for experienced technician roles in a hybrid work environment at an inspection center. The work includes diagnostics and complete repairs on vehicle systems ranging from timing belts and suspension to electrical issues for electric and hybrid vehicles.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform general to complex automotive repairs; Diagnose and repair advanced vehicle electrical issues (electric and hybrid); Complete repairs for wheel bearings and axles; Repair vehicle climate control systems including ACs and heater cores; Work mandatory overtime based on business needs
Technical Overview
Diagnose and repair advanced mechanical, electrical, and climate control problems across all makes and models. Specific repair areas include timing belts, suspension systems, heavy engine work, electric/hybrid vehicle electrical issues, wheel bearings and axles, and climate control systems including AC and heater cores.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is an experienced automotive mechanic with 3+ years of professional automotive repair experience, capable of performing automotive diagnostics and general-to-complex repairs. They should be comfortable repairing advanced vehicle electrical issues for electric and hybrid vehicles and performing reconditioning work including wheel bearings/axles and climate control repairs (AC and heater cores).
