About this role

Carvana is seeking an Experienced Auto Technician to perform a full range of automotive repairs and vehicle diagnostics. The role covers complex mechanical repairs, advanced electrical troubleshooting (including electric and hybrid vehicles), and repairs for wheel bearings, axles, and climate control systems such as ACs and heater cores.

Key Responsibilities

Perform general to complex repairs on all makes and models (timing belts, suspension systems, heavy engine work)
Diagnose and repair advanced vehicle electrical issues, including electric and hybrid vehicles
Complete repairs for wheel bearings and axles
Repair vehicle climate control systems including ACs and heater cores
Work mandatory overtime based on business needs

Technical Overview

You will execute automotive reconditioning work from light maintenance to heavy engine repairs, with a strong emphasis on diagnostics and electrical troubleshooting. The technical scope includes timing belts, suspension systems, heavy engine work, plus component-level repairs for wheel bearings and axles and climate control systems including AC and heater cores.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is an experienced automotive technician with 3+ years of professional automotive repair experience and strong diagnostic capability. They can handle general-to-complex repairs across multiple vehicle makes/models and troubleshoot advanced electrical issues involving electric and hybrid vehicles, while also completing wheel bearing/axle and climate control repairs (AC and heater cores).
