About this role
Carvana is hiring an experienced automotive mechanic for the 1st shift role focused on full-range repairs and diagnostics. The position includes complex mechanical work plus advanced electrical diagnostics for electric and hybrid vehicles.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform general to complex repairs on all makes and models,Diagnose and repair advanced vehicle electrical issues (electric and hybrid),Complete repairs for wheel bearings and axles,Repair vehicle climate control systems including ACs and heater cores,Support vehicle reconditioning with mandatory overtime as needed
Technical Overview
The role performs general to complex repairs across major systems, including timing belts, suspension systems, and heavy engine work. It also includes diagnosing and repairing advanced electrical issues for electric and hybrid vehicles, plus repairs for wheel bearings, axles, and climate control systems such as ACs and heater cores.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is an experienced automotive technician with 3+ years of professional automotive repair experience who can handle light-to-heavy mechanical work and perform vehicle diagnostics. They should be strong in diagnosing and repairing advanced electrical issues, including electric and hybrid vehicle systems, and be comfortable with repairs across engine, suspension, wheel bearings/axles, and climate control components (AC and heater cores).
