About this role
Carvana is hiring an Experienced Auto Technician to perform a full range of automotive repairs and diagnostics at its Inspection Centers. The role focuses on complex mechanical work plus advanced electrical diagnostics, including electric and hybrid vehicle systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform general to complex repairs on all makes and models,Diagnose and repair advanced vehicle electrical issues (electric and hybrid),Complete repairs for wheel bearings and axles,Repair vehicle climate control systems including ACs and heater cores,Perform diagnostics to support vehicle reconditioning
Technical Overview
Responsibilities include diagnosing and repairing mechanical systems (timing belts, suspension, heavy engine work) and electrical issues on electric and hybrid vehicles. The technician will also complete repairs for wheel bearings, axles, and climate control components including AC and heater cores.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is an experienced automotive technician with at least 3 years of professional automotive repair experience, capable of performing light-to-heavy repairs and vehicle diagnostics. They have strong skills in electrical/electronic repair for electric and hybrid vehicles and are comfortable handling repairs across major systems like timing belts, suspension systems, wheel bearings, axles, and climate control (AC and heater cores).
