About this role
Carvana seeks an Automotive Mechanic (Post Production) to perform a wide range of vehicle repairs and diagnostics, from light maintenance to heavy engine work. The role includes advanced electrical troubleshooting for electric and hybrid vehicles and repairs for wheel bearings/axles and climate control systems, with mandatory overtime when needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform general to complex vehicle repairs
- Diagnose and repair advanced vehicle electrical issues
- Complete repairs for wheel bearings and axles
- Repair vehicle climate control systems including ACs and heater cores
- Work mandatory overtime based on business needs
Technical Overview
You will troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and climate control systems across all makes and models, including timing belts, suspension systems, heavy engine work, electric/hybrid electrical issues, wheel bearings/axles, and HVAC components such as ACs and heater cores.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is an experienced automotive technician with at least 3 years of professional automotive repair experience. They are strong in vehicle diagnostics and can handle repairs across mechanical systems (including timing belts, suspension, and heavy engine work) and advanced electrical issues for electric and hybrid vehicles, plus wheel bearings/axles and climate control components.
